Labyrinth Counselling

Bachelor of Arts (Criminology & Sociology)
Bachelor of Applied Social Science (Counselling)

My qualifications and professional expertise are underpinned by my extraordinary life journey, acute intuitive insights, and natural attributes, such as empathy and ability to listen. I hold a membership with the Australian Counselling Association, with experience in all areas of counselling and a keen interest in people with various addictions, anger management and family relationships.

Areas of Expertise

Counselling, Psychotherapy, ACT Therapy and Mindfulness.

I engage in a person centred, strength based approach ensuring my clients feel respected, understood and supported. Therapeutic techniques that I use include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Couples Therapy and Mindfulness. These techniques are certainly tailored to the individual needs of each client, whether they are a child, adolescent, adult, couple or family group.

My approach is strength-based. I excel in helping my clients to develop the confidence and insight needed to transition smoothly through life-changing events. In my work as a therapist I help to restructure those aspects of a person's self that have been traumatised or challenged, so that they can experience feelings of joy and optimism again. I believe that everyone is doing the best they can with the resources that they have. I help my clients to be solution orientated, so the focus is shifted from the problem to what steps can be taken to reach their goals.
